how many times a week do you vaccuum? on average

twice.....only because the living room is the only part downstairs with carpet...in my old house where it was wall to wall carpet, almost everyday!!!! but I would rather vaccum than sweep...I LOATHE sweeping my floors!

I don't have carpet, but I mop 4 times a week.

Yeah, once, if you're lucky. I do dustbuster a few times a week.

Every other day. My kids eat snacks in the living room (the only room that has carpet aside from the bedrooms) so there are always random smashed goldfish crackers on the floor LOL

Everyday besides Sunday! I have 3 dogs and a cat. 'Nough said ;)

I hate cleaning of any sort... it seems soooo pointless with 3 mess-makers and all the country dirt.

Today I cleaned house, so we've (actually the kids) vacummed 3 times, in 1 room, because it pisses me off that the kids can't keep things picked up after I spend hours doing the work.

Normally, once a week? Maybe. LOL

I am not allowed to vacuum. Jeff says I do it wrong. I still don't know how you vacuum wrong. :blink:

On average? Somewhere between 0 & .15 times a week. LOL Though I suspect that'll change when I have a little one under foot again.

Once a week... Every Wednesday actually. Does that make me gross? I don't have kids yet so I figure that probably makes all the difference.

At least twice a week. I do the whole house vacuum during my big clean on Mondays, then will vacuum hotspots once or twice during the rest of the week/weekend. (Like the dining area and front entrance where the dirt gets tracked in.)

Every day. I can't stand to have little crumbs or threads or anything at all on my floor. And my son makes messes constantly.

I vacuum zero times a week. Dh though is OCD so he does minimum once per day. :)

None. We've got mostly hardwood and tile floors, so DH and the kids take the dust mop to the floor a few times a week. Our vacuum is broken, so the upstairs has yet to be done. :unsure:

yeah I try to do as much as i can but aleast 2 a week since I have a lab/huskey and a 10 month old.

We have carpet in our dining room....so that gets vacuumed a hundred times a day!!! The boys' "play room" get vacuumed every day....the rest of the house...once a week.

We "spot" vacuum all the time with a little vacuum cleaner though.

I sat down a while ago and made up a great cleaning schedule. We have yet to follow it! lol Both hubby and I dislike cleaning. So we really put things off!

Put us on the list of people who have carpet in the dining room too. I vaccuum pretty much every day. :mellow:

Pretty much every day before we got out new carpet. The old carpet was darker and it showed EVERYTHING. The new lighter carpet doesn't show stuff as much so I can usually go every other day. It also helps that the kids can't eat in the LR anymore since we got the new carpet. LOL

At least 5 times a week. You know, every day but the weekend. My kids leave crumbs everywhere!

About 3x a week.

I have a very LARGE and hairy dog so I vacuum/sweep downstairs everyday. Then I do the upstairs 2-3 times a week.

Every.stinking.day downstairs-parquet flooring ...I have 2 BIG dog, a hairy wolf-hybrid and 3 cats so yeah it's a must, especially now that they are all shedding. Only 1 of the cats is allowed upstairs so I can get away with twice a week up there plus it's all carpet except for the bathroom and spare room.

Every other day for me, too. Often daily. I have a crumby kid and 2 cats. I vacuum WAY more than I mop.

i'm about every other to every 3rd day. depending. we don't let the kids eat in the living room and that's the only room with carpeting.

Once? with some spot cleaning every here and there...we have mostly hardwood floors.

we have hardwood floors... though, we take the shop vac to the dining room every day because of ants.

At least once a day. I usually vaccum after lunch (carpet in the dining room) and then again after the kids go to bed (living room, dining room & hallway). I try to vacuum the kids rooms every two or three days. Then I do our room once a week.

About once a week, with touchups when needed. We are strict about not allowing food/drink outside of the kitchen, and we never wear shoes inside, so it doesn't get too bad.

I hate cleaning, period. I just don't care. I'm lucky if we vacuum twice a month. But we don't have kids yet, Tiger doesn't shed a lot, and our carpet is 18 years old and gross no matter what. We're hoping to put in wood floors in the whole house before the baby comes.

well we have hard wood floors so in the living room we just have a big 12x 12 rug and it gets swept every day...if not it just gets nasty!!! :thumbdown: Then down stairs we have carpet in our finished basement (this includes the 2 girls room) and it needs swept everyday but it usually only gets done twice a week.

Then in the 3 bedrooms upstairs we have a small rug for the older boys (it's like a Tonka rug that they can drive cars on...maybe 4x4) and it gets shaken out every Saturday. Then in the babies room we have a 5x7 rug and it gets swept on Saturdays and in our room we have a 12 x12 but it's just basically under our bed to keep it from moving so it doesn't get swept but like 3 times a year (when we move our bed)!!! :D :D

I know...I'm anal...but in my defense, we have a long-haired cat that likes to roll around on my beautiful area rug in the living room and I like to have it "new" looking. Plus, my kids are messy in the kitchen and I hate stepping in crunchies on the floor.

AND...it's not me that actually does the vacuuming, it's the kids cuz it's on their chore chart. Living room, kitchen and front entrance get vacuumed every day.

You can make fun of me now. :p

1-2 times. Cassie vacuums every Saturday and I usually do once in the middle of the week.

About every other day. More since we have an ant problem... I used to let the kids eat snacks in the living room... but it's been off limits for a few months now and we still have ants everywhere else.

I don't really mind cleaning... i don't like cleaning up toys, but I don't mind the rest. A clean house makes me very happy. In fact, I kind of need it.

i vac 2-3 times a day. i have two furry animals. and a child. who is the most disgusting person ever.

Well, considering how much the dog sheds, I should vac on a daily basis...but there's always tons of kid stuff all over the floor.

So a couple of times a week, on average. During the summer it's more often because he sheds SO much.

every single day and sometimes 2x a day. My son eats stuff in there and it drops on the floor and I do not want ants to have any reason to come in this place!

How many times per week? Ha, ha. Not even weekly. It takes forever since everything must be cleaned up and moved first, and I have a toddler who's still very afraid of the vacuum (and all loud noises). I try to do it every other week, and may start doing it weekly when school starts in the fall. We dust bust under the kitchen table many times a week, though.

The only rooms with carpet in the house are the bedrooms & they are too low traffic & too out of sight for me to bother with much. Once a month mostly.

But I sweep the living room & kitchen floors twice a day & mop twice a week.

It's like laundry around here...never ending.

Srsly, I can vac in the AM and by the time I'm fixing dinner, you'd wouldn't even be able to tell. Between the dog (chow/retriever mix), 3 cats (2 long haired), a 5yr old, and a DH who is home all the time, clean just doesn't happen.

That's one reason I'm sort of looking forward to all day school...I can really get some things cleaned around here!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. :D With only two of us and no pets, I don't tend to do it very often. I do sweep the kitchen almost every day though.

Every day along with the sweeping and the mopping. LOL! But we don't have carpets so the vacuuming is really just pushing the stick vac around on the hard floors.
