What can I do with coffee grounds ...

besides make coffee. I got two cans of cheap coffee because I needed the cans to make ice cream with the kids. We get free Starbucks coffee beans from my FIL who works there, so we will never make coffee with this stuff. Any other ideas as to what I can do with them?

first thing that came to my mind is that if you have meds that need disposed of you mix them with the coffee grounds and throw them out :D :D

How old are the kids? I put cheap coffee mixed with corn meal in my tactile table in my classroom. I think any Pre-K teachers would love to have it. Just pour it into big ziplocs.

Great idea. If I don't find another use for them, I'll set them aside and see if Mya's preschool teacher wants them.

Yeah, I found some of those lists, but they are for used coffee grounds. These are unused. I suppose I could soak them and use them in the garden anyway (or try the cellulite reduction, lol!)

Thanks!

We made a volcano out of them (and while you can use more than 1/4 C to get it darker, won't use anywhere near what you have to use up lol). If you're gardening, you can use them in the garden!

we went to a teddy bear picnic the other week and the craft was making a teddy bear out of coffee grounds.. using the coffee grounds like glitter. There were cut out teddy bears and then the kids just put some glue on the bear and then sprinkled the coffee grounds on them. Best smelling craft ever! haha :)

In our preschool, they try to use edible things for art when possible just in case one of the kids eats it. I have visions of a class of 2-year olds hyped up on caffeine after using the tactile table, LOL!

I shower with coffee grounds. I keep them in a ziploc or something in the shower, and I grab a small handful and mix it with water, then rub it all over my skin. Then I shower off with my shower gel.

It exfoliates REALLY nicely, and the added perk I like is that it helps reduce cellulite, though you don't look like you need that benefit at all.

I was going to suggest gardening use as well.

Have you ever had a treasure stone hunt? we do them all the time its a bit time consuming but worth it and kids have so much fun! you hide clues and or prizes in the "stones" and they break them open to find the prize here is the nearest online description i could find like the ones we make http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/mis.../bltrstone.htm

Oh that sounds so fun. Thanks!
