Some questions for those of you doing Project Life

Sorry to start yet another Project Life thread, but I have some questions for those of you who have started your albums. (Since the page protectors are out of stock for another couple of weeks, I can't really assemble my album yet but am trying to at least get everything organized so that I'll be ready when they arrive).

I see that a lot of folks are taking a hybrid approach. For those of you printing photos on the journaling cards, are you doing this in Photoshop, or are you printing out the photos separately and then adhering them to the physical cards? What kind of adhesive are you using? What size are you making the photos for the journaling cards? Lastly, are you printing at home or somewhere else? If at home, are you using photo paper, cardstock, or something else?

I know I'm asking lots of questions, but since this is my first time with Project Life...or really any large scale non-digi undertaking, I'm nervous!

If I were doing hybrid I would print the photo separately and it would depend on the size I wanted and I would probably have a bunch of photos printed at Costco rather than printing from home... I would just size them ahead of time and cut them to the size I wanted

I would use my ATG gun or glue dots to adhere.

Here's my first week...I printed photos in different sizes and some of them are adhered with a glue runner. I didn't type on any of the actual core kit cards. All my typing was done on digital cards that I then printed, it was just easier for me. I did handwriting on the PL ones.

I didn't order any of the kit cards, I am making them all myself. I print my photos through a local photo processing center because it's cheaper, lol. I print my cards at home on my laser jet printer on matte presentation paper(double sided). I'm waiting to get my photos tomorrow and then I'll have my first week done.

I've been taking a hybrid appraoch. On a 4 x 6 canvas (in photoshop Elements) I made a tempalte for the smaller journal sized slots. I just crop my pics to fit in. The slot and then put 2 on the 4x6 tempalte. I. Actually crop to 3 7/8 x 5 7/8 so the pic slide in to the page protectors. It has worked really well for me. I send all my pic to Walgreens once a week. I print my journal cards and upper left corner date card at home. I just trim apart the 2 small pic when I'm cutting my printed materials. I can post some screen shots tonight after work if that will help someone.

I support Juli's method, and I think that's the route I'm going to take.

I don't print out cards and then journal them in my handwriting. I use the core kit cards for that. When I do print our journaling cards I type the journaling beforehand and just print it out. Im not really confident with my home printer so I send them off weekly to a photo developing station.
