Anyone interested in a SSD southern get together?
 

I was thinking, I know there are a few of us just a few hours away from each other and I was thinking it would be fun to get together. I am willing to drive. Soooooooooooo is anyone else? Okay, where we gonna do this and when!! :)

I would be so willing to do something over the summer! Somewhere in GA, maybe?

Ya I think Georgia or northern Florida would work. I have a travel trailer and would have room for some roomies. :)

I may be up for it depending on when. I see you're in SC...we're moving there in June. :)

That's where our families are, so we're excited about being close to home. It will be the first time that we've been so close to home since my husband has been active in the Army.

I'm in Florida too but I'm willing to go up to Georgia. I would need to meet on a weekend as I work full time during the week.
We probably have enough Florida girlies to do a Florida meet up in the Fall as well.

This Ohio girl wouldn't be able to make it down that far. :( Especially thanks to the little person I now have lol.

I'm a little closer to midwestern than southern. If it were Georgia, I might be able to make it depending on where in Georgia. Atlanta, for instance, is 6 hours from me and I could do that. I don't think I could do more than 8 hours though :)

I'm in! considering I'm 20 minutes from SC, I can do SC, GA, or FL.

Atlanta might be a fun spot...

oh, I hope I'm not in the middle of moving when this happens!

I know for me, Atlanta is 4.5 hrs, so it might be a bit far for the FL girls.

aw Melissa!! We just moved from Southern GA to D.C.!! I would have LOVED for a meet-up...too bad we moved :(

Ha! We're in Richmond, just south of DC, but are moving south (to SC) this summer.

Oooh! YES! Atlanta is definitely perfect for me, since I'm only like 40 minutes away! :D And, I'm sure I could let a couple people stay in our 2 spare bedrooms too! :)

We were at Fort Benning, on the border of GA and AL--we were there for almost three years. It was about an hour drive to the Atlanta airport and about a 2 hour drive to the AG Store. Golly I miss it there, but I do not miss the heat and humidity!

I know right where it is! I'm near Macon.

What a steal! I can't get a hotel for six bucks! (I'll bring one for Alan too, since I'm a hot water hog.) Just kidding. About the shower, not the cupcake :p

I owe my cousins in ATL a visit. If you had it in the fall so it's not eleventy billion degrees, I might be interested. ;)

Well it looks like Atlanta might be our best bet! I will probably bring my travel trailer, um I mean, Hotel on wheels!! :) Okay, now we need a date for this.

If we do Atlanta, It'd have to be summer for me most likely...while DH is in school, lol...

I may be able to make late summer work. We're moving in June, so that month is out. I would love the break from unpacking, though!!

Summer would work best for me with kiddos out of school.

July or August are the best for me, DH will be in school so I could take a few days in ATL. too bad there isn't anyone closer to Savannah to road trip over with!

As long as it's not the same date as the Midwest Meetup, I'm good. Since I'm an SSDhoooer and all.

I think we're all envious of you being the SSDhoooer! I'd love to have more meetups.

Jenn Barrette needs to respond to the Midwestern one. She could put in a bid for Minneapolis. Just saying....

Atlanta sounds good. July is probably the best time for me, but I can try to work other times out.

Oh yeah! My oldest had to see a cardiologist in Macon, but I opted out of it and went to Atlanta instead since that's where my aunt lives. I figured she could keep the youngest while I took the oldest and if there were problems, I had a place to stay.

Macon isnt...err, wasn't that far from where we used to live.

Depending on when you do this, I might talk DH into letting the girls and I come down since I owe my friends at Benning a visit and could stop in on my aunt in Atlanta, since I already miss them so much! (we've only been gone about two months)

Well July would probably work best since school starts in August here. I know the beginning of the month would not work, so maybe the middle or end of July. I would have room for 4 people in my hotel on wheels. LOL!

Atlanta is about three hours from me, so sounds good! :)

I'm a "maybe". Live in FL panhandle. ATL is about 5 hours away. We'll see!
