Scrap Stacks: Did you know?

Did you know that if you highlight your description before you stack it, the credits will show up on scrap stacks in the description field?

Anybody else found any helpful tips?

rach3975 10-08-2012 08:32 PM

Great tip! Thanks.

maryinaz 10-08-2012 08:56 PM

Yep - Pinterest does that also. :)

Penny Springmann 10-09-2012 01:36 PM

Great, thanks Kellie...you stole my tip of the day...:p

Is anyone else having problems with Stack It on the Sweet Shoppe gallery? I've never had a problem until now. I know it's beta, so I'm not upset, just wondering if it had something to do with the Sweet Shoppe gallery specifically?

Penny Springmann 10-09-2012 01:54 PM

If you upload a layout here and then turn around and try to "stack it" it won't work. There needs to be time between uploading here and stacking. The amount of time varies - could be 5 minutes to a day. I wish it would work instantly!

Amber1279 10-09-2012 02:11 PM

so I was just uploading my layouts (only have done 2) is it better to upload or stack from a gallery? Pros?? Cons??

maryinaz 10-09-2012 03:19 PM

I always Stack It from the gallery so I can just get the credits right away. It also might get people to SSD if they click on the link.

I would only upload something if I didn't have it on a website somewhere.

joelsgirl 10-09-2012 05:39 PM

: ) I just mentioned it because I restacked a couple of layouts that didn't have credits, so I thought maybe everyone might not realize how easy it is.

I'd wondered why I couldn't get my layout to post! That's another good piece of info, Penny. Thanks!

Also, I invited a friend on Sunday and she still doesn't have her invitation. Should it take this long?

My invite ended up in my spam box...she may want to check there.

Yes to this. My invite came within a minute of it being sent, but I had to go to my spam to find it.

I didn't realize this! I also figured I should start adding my credits when I noticed everyone else doing it, haha! I figured they could just click the link on my layout (it leads to my MSA gallery) :/ Thanks for the tip, Kellie!

Penny Springmann 10-10-2012 11:20 AM

Kellie, have her check her spam folder. If it isn't there have her contact me. :)

Kristi8004 10-10-2012 12:50 PM

I knew that already, but can I just say that it's one heck of a great tip!!!

Patti 10-10-2012 01:10 PM

Mine hit the spam folder too!! thanks for the tip!!

sarahbhb 10-10-2012 01:18 PM

So I noticed that if I highlight the links before I stack a layout I get the credits but not linked. If I copy and paste the links into my description after I've hit the stack it button they show up linked. It may have just been the gallery I was stacking from, though. Don't even remember which one it was. Anyone else notice this?

i have a question, semielated to the tip (which, was awesomely helpful).

the terns say "10 uploads per day". does that include stacking from the gallery? or only pages that we upload using the "upload a stack"?

Penny Springmann 10-10-2012 09:57 PM

the 10 uploads means: uploads via +add or using the Stack it button to add images to the site.

reStacking is not in that count. But at the same time, you might not want to reStack 50 items in one sitting.:p

Dear Penny,
I don't ever want to know if I have an "unfollower". If I suck, I'm totally happy living in oblivion.
Just a thought for later. : )

Penny Springmann 10-11-2012 06:51 AM

Ah, come on, it's so good for the ego!
Yeah..it's number one on my list today!!! I totally agree.

joelsgirl 10-11-2012 07:27 AM

Haha! I tried figuring out who unfollowed me.

Lindsay 10-11-2012 08:00 AM

I didn't really think too hard about being "unfollowed" but learned it was my wishlist, which I get. I follow other's layouts and inspiration folders too. I went to Notifications and just turned off that feature.

I turned off that notification quick fast in a hurry, but under your name, whenever you stack something or restack, it shows how many followers, following and UNfollowers you have. It's not just letting YOU know you have an unfollower; it's letting the world know.

And my ego doesn't need any more good. ; )

kelley 10-11-2012 12:40 PM

Yeah, I figured that out when posting my first few layouts because I decided to copy and paste from one of my gallery descriptions, but it showed up automatically. So cool. :)
