Need recommendations for Android apps
 

We finally bit the bullet and bought the kids a 10" Android 4.0 Tablet for Christmas, through one of those daily deal sites. They are going to be stoked, but this mama knows nothing about android tablets :huh:, so I really would appreciate recommendations for free apps I could download for the kids to play.

My girls are 9 and 6.

Amazon offers one free app everyday. You might want to keep eye on those.

My 9 and 6 year olds like Angry Birds (especially the Space version) and Cut the Rope. I don't remember whether they were free, but if not they didn't cost much.

I don't have a tablet, but I have an android phone, so I'm assuming the same sort of apps work on both. These are some that my kids like (they're 10 and 12, so they're a little older than yours, but I think these are all pretty good)

Doodle Bowling
Fruit Ninja
Yahtzee
Jewels

I have seen my niece spend a lot of time with Minecraft. She is 6.
