Help! Don't know how to use CS6 for scrapping!

:cursing:Hello ladies! I took a little bit of a scrapping hiatus and am just getting back to it. Since I stopped I got PSCS6 and it is very frustrating! I used to could just click on any element or photo in my lay out and move it around. Now I have to find that particular layer in the pallette and click on it before I can do anything! It is taking forever to find the layer in the pallette and then adjust it on my layout! Is there any way to set it up where I can click directly on my layout to move layers around and such? Thanks for any help in advance!

When you have your Move tool selected (the arrow in the top of the Tools palette/Shortcut V), you should see a check box in the menu bar across the top that says Auto Select with a dropdown for Layer or Group. Check the box and then select Layer and you'll be able to click on your layers to select them.

When you have the Move tool selected, look up in the options along the top and make sure the Auto-Select box is checked and make sure the little drop-down menu right next to that is on Layer not Group. That should make it possible for you to just click on an element and move it around.

Another option is to just press the Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) key while you click on the elements. That should work as well. :)
