Kids Lunch Ideas??

Okay ladies, I'm stumped! I'm tired of always making the same things for my kids for lunch. We do tons of different things for dinner, but I hate going all out for lunch because we are usually in a hurry. I'm tired of PB&J's, quesadillas, grilled cheese, macaroni & cheese... Any brilliant ideas that work for your kiddos? My babes are 5 and 18 months. Thanks in advance!

meat/cheese/lettuce rolled in a tortilla
corn dogs
'breakfast sandwiches' (eggs and bacon or ham on toast)
fruit salad and cubes of meat and cheese on toothpicks (I stick little bit sized portions of anything on a toothpick and my kids think its cool, lol)
fruit skewers, nuts and yogurt

Misty I love the toothpick idea!

Works like a charm. Although I just realized you have an 18 month old, so you might need to be careful with that one. My kiddos are 6 and 9.

Tell me about it..... mine are 5 and 7. These are pretty simple things that they love (hopefully you know what I'm talking about coz we call some foods different names):

Mini hotdogs - cocktail frankfurts wrapped inside mini dinner rolls (or just a slice of bread)
Homemade sausage rolls - chipolata size sausages wrapped in puff pastry (takes 15-20 minutes to cook in the oven)
Mini pizzas - made with a English muffin halves (add pasta sauce, cheese... whatever toppings you like) and cook under a grill for 5-10 minutes (might need to lightly toast the English muffin first).

the rare times mine take lunch they take leftovers. we have several of those insulated type containers and I just heat the food up to REALLY REALLY hot, stick it in there, and then they're still warm by lunchtime. (or so I'm told)

my kids love eating tuna out of pita bread!

One of my son's favorite easy meals is some sort of cold meat; deli turkey, pepperoni, etc, string cheese, crackers and fruit. It's pretty balanced and he loves it.

I do the mini pizzas, too! Just like Kim mentioned. I make a homemade pizza sauce and freeze it in baggies that I pull out as I need them. Then I put on whatever toppings we have on hand & mozz & parm cheese.

Soup. My kids love soup for lunch. With a big slice of bread & butter and fresh fruit on the side.

Pigs in a blanket- halved hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls, with or without 1/2 a slice of muenster or cheddar cheese wrapped inside with the hotdog (depends on if I have cheese on hand), baked in the oven 350 for about 10-12 minutes. Then we dip them in mustard.

PB& honey. My kids like this better than jelly sometimes. They go through phases.

*sigh* I'm in the same boat... and then add that J is allergic to wheat, carrots, apples and peanuts... and is a super picky eater... yeah, I'm at a lost. So far he has been happy with cheese on a corn tortilla... grapes... slice of turkey or ham... and a glass of milk.
