Cinderella

Oh my gosh gals....I don't usually go for chick flicks, but my girlfriend was having a birthday girls night out so we went to see Cinderella.

This movie is BEAUTIFUL! The dresses, costumes, sets, furnishings, 'magic', guys in tights. :w00t:

Any one else see it tonight?

crystalbella77 03-14-2015 01:58 AM

I haven't seen it yet, but the girlie and I are going to go Sunday I think! She is so excited!

JMC1988 03-14-2015 02:57 AM

My mom and I are going to see if either Saturday (later today) or Sunday!

Can't wait!

mariewilcox 03-14-2015 06:18 AM

Not yet, Sunday is usually our movie day - Probably not tomorrow though due to yet another freaking snow/ice storm tonight and tomorrow  Cheyanne has been waiting for this one to come out for a long time. We'll be seeing a few movies over the next few weeks - Cinderella, Insurgent, and Fast and Furious 7!

Just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your pictures! I want to see the movie soon!

breakingbrie 03-14-2015 10:26 AM

We saw a preview on tv, and I asked the girls what they thought. They never got into disney princesses at all, and they don't even know the Cindrella story! So I decided we're going to see this together. Probably wait for dvd though. We don't often get out to the theaters.

Valgal 03-14-2015 10:29 AM

We went last night for a birthday party. about 1/3 of the theater was just us girls, lol! It was a really BEAUTIFUL movie. I don't think it's one of those that I could buy and watch repeatedly, but it was a wonderful message, Cinderella is perfect, the prince is SO gorgeous. And the dresses... AMAZING! Actually, I take back the bit about not watching it again. I would watch just to drool over the set and costumes again. Cate Blanchett plays the step mother and she is PURE EVIL.

Take your girls and go see it!

kristijoy 03-14-2015 10:33 AM

Cate Blanchett was awesome!! Totally evil! I definitely want to see it again and look at the sets and dresses. And definitely the message was spot on. Having the story 'narrated' by the fairy godmother really brought the message out.

I can't wait to see this movie! Hubby promised we'd make it a date!

Valgal 03-14-2015 10:55 AM

OH! I forgot to mention. There is zero language in this film and no sexual innuendos of any kind. Just an appropriate, romantic kiss at the end. I very much appreciated that. I worry about what kind of love & romance messages my 12 year old picks up from tv and movies. It was definitely about romantic love, but based on how they felt about each other's personalities, ideas, etc. Not on their looks.

Also...even though the step mother is evil there is no physical violence. They do rip her dress (as the story go) but that's it.

I think so. There are a lot of men in it. The king's guards, duke etc... basically the good guys v's the bad guys. He will probably think the nasty step-sisters are funny.

catgoddess 03-14-2015 11:41 AM

It's on my weekday matinee list. I'm glad the costumes are beautiful. It's one of the main reasons I was interested in seeing it on the big screen.

Love, love those pics of the displays in NYC. I would love to see them in person like that! Thanks for posting those.
