Jellies are back!
 I'm so excited!!
Maybe all you girls lucky enough to live close to an Old Navy already knew this, but I just was browsing online and found these: http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive...2-00p01v01.jpg I'm definitely getting me a pair, and I hope you will too. :p So are they all the rage in the States already? Do you have more Jellies to show me? I just was so cool in grade school wearing them, and I want to be cool again! |
Gosh I had about 37 pairs of Jellies when I was in the 3rd grade....was wondering if Naomi would ever get the pleasure of wearing them! :p Those are cute!
I hate Jellies
*ducks and runs for cover* :p Yea, I can't wear them AT ALL. |
Oh my gosh, I used to love jellie shoes when I was a kid! I hadn't seen these either and wonder if they will be everywhere now!
Yeah, I am not so big on them either...I have big feet to begin with so they don't look so good on me!!!!!
jellies never went away :P lol and THOSE particular shoes are hideous :D
I saw some for little girls at Baby Gap and they were really cute.
I used to wear the heck out of some jellies when I was a kid and they were the rage. However....I don't think I am gonna try them now. :p I seem to recall how sweaty they made your feet and yeah...not a good thing for someone living in FL. :glare: |
Does anyone remember Jelly blisters? That particular brand of blisters that only wearing cheap rubber shoes can give you?
I don't like those jellies but jellies in general are friggin AWESOME!
LOL! Oh yeah I remember wearing the jellies! Not so sure about them now! lol

so don't miss the Jellie blisters those were awful...but when I was little I thought they were great and didn't care.....lol if only I knew my little toe would look like it does today I think I would have cared a little
Never a fan of the jellies either. I tried to be...just wasn't my thing.
omg YES I so used to love my jellies.....even though they'd leave imprints in my feet for three days after wearing them, lol. I had a pink iridescent pair that were just the end all be all :P
I hated them when I was a kid, they always gave me the worst blisters!!! LOL
My favorite jellies were clear. I went swimming in the river with my B/F/F and the mud sucked one of them right off my feet.
I was never the same after that tragedy...:crying: |
I've been seeing them all over lately, in Target, Walmart, Old Navy and several stores at our mall! I remember having several pairs when I was younger, not sure if I'm going to get any but my girls would probably like them!
I bought a pink pair last year at Claire's.
However, they were too big, so I couldn't wear them. My feet would just walk right out of them. I was devastated. BF was glad he only spent 8 bucks on them. I am SO on a mission again this year to get jellies! They are DA BOMB!! |
Yep...not big on jellies here either.
oh i LOVED them when i was a kid. I'll definitly be getting the girls some, but i think i'll stick to my regular 2 for$5 old navy flip flops, lol. I do remember how sweaty your feet got. I used to have a pair that had white lace underneath the 'jellie'. it got all dirty and stinky, gross! i think i was 10 or so.
My favorite favorite flip flops are Teva's or Reef's. SO flippin comfy, I live in them during the summer.
Yeah Im not sure that I could pull those off lol!! But I have fond childhood memories of jellys lol!!

I saw those -- somewhere else but I was excited.
I won't wear them again but Iwish I had a little girl so she could LOL |
I would so get those Target ones for my little one, but they don't come in her size! Holy Canoli though, at least 5 other pairs of shoes in the toddler section she "needs"
i don't think I ever wore jellies. am not going to start now. will stick to my ugly Crocs :p .
Jellies do not look comfy to me at all. I'm all about comfy shoes. |
I remember loving them as a kid (I had some to with the lace in them too) but did hate how bad they made my feet sweat an the blisters they gave me. No way would I wear them now, I am all about the comfort and not so much the fashion!!! :D
I used to LOVE wearing jellies! I'm so mad because I had this AWESOME hot pink pair and when I moved in with my hubby (boyfriend at the time) he made me get rid of them (he hates any kind of cool/funky shoe style). I had them in high school (they were in style one year) and then they went out of style but I LOVED them. I am SO SO mad that I let him talk me into tossing them. I'm am getting my little girl a pair...OHHHH YEAH!!! Hubby will hate it! LOL!!
I used to love them and had just about every color. Now that I have a big size 9 I bet they're not so cute anymore. :)
Yay jellies!! Oh brings me back!
I LOVED my jellies as a kid, but man the sweaty feet those things produced! LOL
Loved them when I was a kid and even had a pair of pink platform ones in high school but I hated how sweaty and grody they made my feet. When I'd take them off I'd have those nasty dirt streaks.
I've never had the pleasure of wearing Jellies...but I don't wear flip-flops at all because of the blisters I'd get between my toes! OUCH!
Never heard of them before, but if they arent comfy you wouldn't catch me wearing them. I live for the comfort LOL
Oh I remember Jellies!!! I was in high school when they were popular. I think I am gonna stick with my crocs.
omg! my first jellies were kitten heeled white ones! i was 9 and i felt so freaking cool in them! i also felt a quarter of an inch taller! LOL
jellies for me as an adult...not so much. i think i'll stick to flip flops. =0) |

I pledge on all that is good and hol(e)y [ha ha --- get it?!], Kellie, that I will buy a pair this summer, take a picture of my sweaty feet in them, and post it here just for you. :)
I'll be the odd one out. I hated jellies in school..and just rolled my eyes when I saw them not long ago in a shop LOL. But that pair in the OP is certainly more stylish than the ones I remember wearing way back when :)
I can't wear jellies either. I had two pairs as a kid and they both turned my feet black. The shoes were clear with glitter, so it wasn't plastic rub-off either. We never did figure out what caused it, my mom and I just decided that shoes that turn feet black were a bad idea.

Hahahahahaha omg that made me laugh!
My sweaty feet couldn't take jellies. Even now I have to wear sandals with soft leather or suede soles, otherwise my feet slide everywhere and I turn into a walking hazard. |
Black?! Like amputation black?! SCARY.
Okay, you are allowed to not want to wear them. Everyone else... *fingerwaggle* |
I always wanted a pair, but my sensible mom would never buy me any. I'm afraid I'm going to be a sensible mom, as well. Sweaty, stinky feet run in our family, so there's no way either my daughter or I will be wearing those!

my daughter saw a pair in a store the other week and asked for them. Brought back memories for me! I think I'll get her a pair ... I am sure they are much cuter on a 9 year old than on a 31 year old. lol Although I have promised myself that I will buy some Crocs for me this year (Princess got her first pair last year in hot pink).
I love the ones Mandy posted. I wouldn't wear jellies now but I would get them for my kids if they wanted them.
I do remember the blisters though |
I had them too. I hate sweaty feet. I seriously doubt I'll be getting some but I'll have to see if they have any that will fit my daughter's fat feet.......
my pediatrist made me promise to NEVER wear them. I have high arches and I can not wear shoes without arch support.
Plus .... they make your feet sweat -- ewwwe |
Guilty! I have a pair--even bought the ones they had out like 2 months ago for the little one--- :) they're adoreable---went on sale and were only 5 bucks!
