I'm about to cry...
 
So last night, I thought I was being very productive by trying to tag my SSD kits stored on my external hard drive... Figured I'd do little by little, but was trying to tag all papers by color, elements to bow or button or whatever...

And then today, when I go back, not only are the tags not searchable, but the files themselves appear to have become corrupt!! :crying: Unless anyone has a bright idea to recover them, I've lost about 10 kits...So much for trying to get organized!:cursing:

Edit: I have a macbook pro with OS X 10.9.5, and a Western Digital MyBook Essential

Sorry that happened to you :( Here is the store policy, you maybe able to request a new download keys if they are recent purchases from SSD. I would also check out the WD website to see if they have any troubleshooting recommendations.

My computer / external hard drive has failed, and I have lost everything! Can you reset all of my past orders?
At the Sweet Shoppe we understand that occasionally technical difficulties may make your digital files inaccessible and we want to help whenever possible. After the initial 5 day window to download your files, orders will be reset upon request only, once per customer. We do not reset orders older than 90 days old, and very large reset requests may be subject to a small convenience fee. Use our
contact page to send an email to Order Resets, and include your order number to expedite your request. Please allow up to 72 hours for order reset requests to be processed.

Unfortunately, with the exception of 1 or 2 kits, they are all older than 90 days old... I'm so angry at myself right now for not checking everything was ok before moving on from kit 1 to kit 2... to 10!

Oh, no! Do you have any online backup that saves previous versions? Hoping you'll find a solution!

Oh boy. Do you use Time Machine on your computer or External? That might be able to bring it back to the state it was before, depending on your last run.

Time machine was no help, since I've always had trouble indexing my external hard drive... but as I went back to find my purchase orders, figuring even if it was more than 90 days, the worst they could say is no, the links were still active!!
So excited I'm doing a happy dance at my desk here!! The only one I'm still missing is one I had purchased before the designer moved to this store, but I'm ok with that... Just one more reason to go shopping, I guess! ;)
