NSD plans?

Does SSD have any plans for next weekend? Like special challenges or chats or anything?

We are supposed to be having a big garage sale - but I don't want to be missing any fun! Talk about delimas!

Becca Bonneville 04-22-2008 12:24 PM

I was wondering the same thing! I am ready to have some fun!!!

ColleenSwerb 04-22-2008 12:26 PM

I'm sure they'll do something. I know the designers are hard at work on some special projects.

twentytinytoes 04-22-2008 12:26 PM

Oh i hope so! I am pretty sure I remember chats last year! And I won something, unless that was for something different LOL I have no money to spend this year so Ill need to do something fun :)

Amy Carey 04-22-2008 12:55 PM

SSD always rocks at NSD :P

gyllenhaalic 04-22-2008 01:09 PM

Man, I probably have to work on NSD.

Susan Toon 04-22-2008 01:17 PM

My friend's little girl's 2nd bday party is that day and I hestitated when I RSVP'd after I realized what day it was. How bad is that! Maybe it will be a short party :)

gracielou 04-22-2008 01:31 PM

This will be my first NSD to spend digitally. I am so excited!

ditzyscrap 04-22-2008 01:46 PM

Usually I have to work, or if it's my day off, my inlaws somehow interrupt it. I'm hoping this year, as it's my day off, that I'll stay inside and scrap. :)

MikkelPaige 04-22-2008 03:02 PM

I think my favorite thing SSD does is "Click-A-Sig". Do that!!!!

Priscilla 04-22-2008 03:43 PM

Click-A-Sig was a lot of fun! I believe they did it for the holidays this past year (December) and every day 2 Sugar Babes or Designers here would have a special blinkie in their signature that would link up to a freebie! Everyone had them in their signatures but only 2 of them would link up to a freebie everyday. It was different each day! So it was a scavenger hunt of sorts. It was tons of fun, and often very challenging to find who had it everyday.

kscwgirl 04-22-2008 05:20 PM

Click A Sig rocks.

Sadly, I'll be gone most of NSD. :( My cousin's bridal shower is that day. Sigh.

scrapmonkey 04-22-2008 05:27 PM

I still use some of the goodies from the click-a-sig relatively regularly! I'd love to see a couple of extra challenges!

ColleenSwerb 04-22-2008 05:40 PM

I'll be missing the fun too. Down in VA for the weekend for a big get together.

(My friends are buying cheap 80's garb on ebay and putting on an 80's prom.......I so don't do dress up)

ajf9597 04-22-2008 06:35 PM

I will be sitting at my computer scrapping/shopping all day :) :) :)

MrsWresh 04-22-2008 08:37 PM

I am telling my husband to take all the kids and GET OUT! Then I am going to shop my face off and eat chocolate and drink lots of Diet Dr. Pepper. When I am done shopping I will scrap until I cannot scrap anymore...

They better stay gone all day too! :p

jmama 04-22-2008 08:40 PM

I am graduating on NSD - thats really a tough choice

LeeAndra 04-22-2008 10:43 PM

momtoknjl 04-23-2008 12:25 AM

My parents are coming into town and we are celebrating my son's 6th bday. It's the only weekend they can come so I guess I will be trying to get in time here and there as I can sneak it in. I can't wait to do some shopping, I have been saving up some money!!!

SamaraGugler 04-23-2008 12:48 AM

Would it be wrong to ask DH and the kids to leave so I can scrap in peace? Maybe if they won't leave I could go hang out at Starbucks and Panera with free wi-fi and scrap all day!!

twentytinytoes 04-23-2008 01:46 AM

Oh I love click a sig!

nesser1981 04-23-2008 01:56 AM

I'll be here at the computer, dh doesn't go to work until 1 that day, so I'll have a few hours by myself to shop and have fun.

I already informed DH that NSD was coming up. His response was, "Already? Wasn't it just NSD a couple months ago?" When I told him it only happened once a year he said, "Really? I thought there were like 3 NSDs." Um, no.

The was a digital one not too long ago. B/c I said "It hasn't been a YEAR yet" b/c I haven't been designing that long and I know that the last one was when I was designing. So it turns out there was a National Digital one someone organized and a "real" National Scrapbooking Day that's the "official" paper scrapbooking one. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

Yes, NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) has been going on for quite a few years, always the first Saturday in May. It HAD come to encompass digital (after all, it doesn't matter the medium, just the fact that we're scrapping, right) for a few of those years. But last year a couple people decided there should be a DSD (Digital Scrapbooking Day...not "National" since that generally means just one country, and we know digi scrappers are around the globe) as well, and it was in November. It MAY be changing, there was a few polls done at DST asking when people thought it would be best to have it, since there were a few complaints that it was too close to Black Friday for sales/activities. But if there IS a change, it won't be until 2009.

Shawna 04-23-2008 11:22 AM

NSD also happens to be Kyle's 1st birthday so I'm not sure how much I'll be around. But I don't think we are having his party until Sunday since several of the grandparents work on Saturdays. So I should have some time at least to hang for a bit! And I hope they do Click-a-Sig too! Love those goodies!

gyllenhaalic 04-23-2008 11:27 AM

This time around I think we need to dress up goats instead of llamas.
