What's happening here on National Scrapbooking Day?

I know I've seen a hint or two of what's happening, but are there going to be regular chats? an official sale? special challenges? I want to make sure I'm getting in on EVERYTHING here. If there is already a post in another place, please link me! Thanks!

Nettio 04-30-2008 02:15 PM

I don't think anything has been officially announced but there is definitely some fun stuff in the works.

ColleenSwerb 04-30-2008 02:16 PM

They probably won't announce anything ahead of time. Robin is sneaky like that ;)

I'll miss out on all of it most likely. :( Unless I can sneak some time in online at my friends place, lol.

Rae's World 04-30-2008 02:19 PM

I plan to pop in serveral times on Sat. I want to spend ALL day but I have Girl Scouts and laundry. Not to mention 4 kids and a hubby who looks at me funny if I scrap all day!

ditzyscrap 04-30-2008 02:20 PM

Lindy, you'll want to stick around all day. That's all I can say. :D Everyone is busily planning everything, it's going to be a LOT of fun!

TOO FUNNY, I get the same look!!!!!!!

junebug 04-30-2008 02:27 PM

well, i'm going to try to stick around as much as i can, but my hubby will get mad if he's busy working outside or whatever and i'm in here on the computer, lol.

stayawake 04-30-2008 02:27 PM

I told my husband about NSD a month ago and he got a worried look... "how much will it cost??" *LOL*:p I definitley won't be able to be here ALL day, but I'd rather pick one place and keep checking in... I've already been promised two hours when I want it (he'll take the kids to the park), and all the time I want once the kids are asleep... but yeah, I get the funny look too. If HE had any hobbies, I'm sure it wouldn't be so difficult. :)
thanks, I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything.:)

DawnMarch 04-30-2008 02:30 PM

Yeah, honestly I wish NSD were on a weekday. It seems more of us have time to be online! MY DH definitely won't appreciate my spending a weekend "family" day on the computer, so I'll only be here a tiny bit and probably only to shop. :(

ZaCola3 04-30-2008 02:32 PM

I can't wait!
I'm really excited to see what is going on this weekend...I will be here all day Saturday but Zak has a flag football tournament that he JUST told me about, so I will be out of town most of the day!

Amber1279 04-30-2008 02:37 PM

I will be at the Dress Rehearsal for the children's musical at church Sat morning. Then I signed up for a paper eater class at my LSS - I am doing it for the "discount tote" they are giving away. The tote is going to be good on special days thru the year to get discounts on anything you put in there. I need to discount on my hybrid supplies!

After the class a fellow digi scrapping mom & I are meeting at a local bookstore/coffee place to scrap - although I will probably SHOP then LOL.

If there are evening activities I should be around.

Becca Bonneville 04-30-2008 02:38 PM

I can't wait! I hope to be attached to my seat at the computer for most of the day!! LOL!!

lizzyfizzy 04-30-2008 02:49 PM

gracielou 04-30-2008 02:52 PM

I wish I could be here also but my dd has a fun fair at her school and I simply can't skip that. It means to much to her. Hopefully I can catch something in the evening.

 Except for an hour out for a t-ball game I've already warned the fam I'll be out of commission!

tracey 04-30-2008 02:57 PM

I planned to be glued right here to my desk!! Although, my SIL just informed me she may come over Saturday....i was like "Ugg...are you kidding me?" lol
Of all days to wanna visit!..oh well...I suppose she will have to pull up a chair here beside me..rofl!

twentytinytoes 04-30-2008 03:00 PM

UGH this is the worst day to have it LOL My mom is coming from out of town and of course will be here all day sat! So i may be able to pop on but not much :(

Kat Stokes 04-30-2008 03:02 PM

I'll be here 99% of the day. I have to take DS for baseball pics at 1:00 but other than that DH is working and I get to do whatever I want!!!

trudem 04-30-2008 03:03 PM

Yeah there's gonna be some gooorgeous new things in the Shoppe! :D

Probably the only good thing about the BF being away this week and last week is that I'll be able to play as much as I want on Saturday! ;) That is, after I take the dogs to the park to wear them out so I can focus, LOL!

Priscilla 04-30-2008 03:03 PM

I'll be on asmuch as I can. DH will be painting so Iwill have to plopDS infront of the TV!!

uptowngirl 04-30-2008 03:32 PM

I get that funny look from the hubby too... what is with that?! I hope I can be here as much as possible... it is my first one and I am so so so so super excited! :)

sjford0419 04-30-2008 04:38 PM

I hope to be here ALL day!!! LOL!!

scarletsierra 04-30-2008 04:39 PM

I'm going to try to be on as much as I can too!

ashleyprugh 04-30-2008 04:47 PM

i'm still clientless on saturday. so i'll either be sitting at work on here, or at home, on my laptop on here. unless for some reason, my book fills up between now and then.

and may 3 is my brother's birthday. i told him that he shared a birthday with NSD and he just gave me a blank look. and then told me i was crazy. so yeah. at least his party isn't until next weekend. HA! nsd totally wins my time.

newfiemountiewife 04-30-2008 04:49 PM

I will be splitting between here and MSA. Now that I got my laptop, I'll just be lying on the couch. I told Tony he was in charge of the mobsters for the day and night LOL

rainydays 04-30-2008 04:56 PM

:crying: I am going to miss the WHOLE thing:crying:
But on a brighter note my little sis is getting married!!!:p

maybe somebody could play the games for me?...LOLOLOLOL!!!

Valgal 04-30-2008 05:51 PM

All I can say is the weather better be pretty dang nasty, otherwise I'll get 'the look' too for sitting inside. I wanna have fun, by golly!

Same here... My mom is coming from out of town Friday night... I don't know whether to wish she was coming a day later or thank her for keeping my 2 year old occupied part of the day (well I'm hoping...) :)

keepscrappin 04-30-2008 06:52 PM

I'm hoping to be here as much as possible, but I get the funny look from the hubby and kids too. Maybe, I can convince him that I need a day for scrapping since he's been out of town with work so much lately. *wink* *wink* I hope the guilt works.

Should i worry that my dh and kids don't care if I spend FOREVER on the computer? I think they take it as a given...self employed medical transcriptionist with digi scrapping obession equates to wayyyy too much puter time I guess. :P

SATURDAY sweet saturday....I have a friend (maybe two more) coming over to scrap and have dinner (she's bringing her family and the dh's will hang out and cook on the grill, kids will play, all will stay OUT of our hair, rofl) I am so looking forward to it. Seems like this is the first time in my digi-career that i actually PLANNED for NSD and was able to be home for it.

flattsgurl 04-30-2008 08:04 PM

I feel like Christmas is coming! I have been hinting around to hubby and warning him about NSD for the last week or two. I'm hoping to get up bright and early to poke around here and then maybe do something with the girls in the morning and then back here to plant myself. LOL *Insert devil smiley here* LMAO

rochelle789 04-30-2008 08:52 PM

Well, I was planning to be around all day on Saturday, but a good friend of mine wants to take a road trip to the outlet mall on Saturday. It's my only opportunity to go, plus there's a Coach outlet store there and I want a purse! So I think I'm going to tell her I can't go until 1pm, then hang out here for a few hours in the morning to shop and partake in some of the festivities.

jene 04-30-2008 09:03 PM

I'm a sad panda cause I am going to be at work all day saturday 7a-7p there are just some days you wish the hospital was closed

mrs_jb 04-30-2008 09:15 PM

I plan to be around all day! We have a 9:30 am baseball game and then I'm parking it on the couch with the laptop!

rach3975 04-30-2008 09:36 PM

I'm hoping to pop in for an hour or two, but we'll be out of town and I'll have to find someplace to take my laptop that has internet access. I've warned DH that he and the kids are on their own (with his family, who we'll be visiting) for a couple of hours so I can join in. I wish I knew the schedule ahead of time (like tonight, before we leave!) so I could plan when to take my few hours. At least there'll be shopping no matter when I get away!

mcardall 05-01-2008 04:25 AM

My mom is coming in town on Saturday night and my house is still a disaster, so I am going to be cleaning and working in my yard all day Saturday. I already bookmarked all my sales to quickly jump on... I really wish I knew what was going on here so I could make some plans to stop in. Oh well! I'll drop in and participate when I can! :) Can't wait to see what you girls have up your sleeves!

I think we must be married to the same guy!

I'll be sleeping on my side of the world, so I want to know if I should stay up late Sat. night or get up early Sunday morning . . .

Amy Carey 05-01-2008 09:28 AM

and you didn't even get to see Kenny the other night either!!! I feel for ya babe!!!
