Let's talk LOST!

Ok, I know some of you haven't seen it yet since it just ended here on the east coast BUT I loved tonight's episode... and I never say that! I don't know how I will wait for 2 weeks to see the season finale... OR until whenever to have it return.

Get your tissues ready girls... because the 1st scene is a tear jerker! Was for me at least!!

Brooke W 05-15-2008 11:07 PM

After that one i was truly "LOST and confused" . won't spoil it for those who're just now or soon will be watching it,lol.

junebug 05-15-2008 11:17 PM

I usually end up saying, everytime i watch it, how "lost" I am. It's my running joke, lol. Now I know why they came up with that title for it, lol.

meems 05-15-2008 11:33 PM

i have never seen it. i want to but I suppose I need to start from the very beginning.

tlcaudle 05-16-2008 06:05 AM

I missed it last night!! Good thing I can watch in on abc.com on the computer, :) I am a LOST addict, :) I'll have to watch it this afternoon when I get home from work, :)

Angie4b1g 05-16-2008 07:00 AM

Yep, it was a good one.

I gotta say, Ben is starting to grow on me. Strange creepy little man that he is.

BrattyMeg 05-16-2008 08:17 AM

Ben is creepy..lol

I'm still confused though my guess is Jin gets hurt/dies while trying to deactivate all that C4 b/c he made it off the island...

and Sawyer..he just tugs at my heartstrings everytime....

and what about Sun buying control into her dad's company? go girl!!

lol, I agree! I used to totally hate him, but now he is sort of helping them? Or is it simply for his own benefit? This show is so addictive. And they start the episodes somewhat backwards, notice that? when it first started last night and they were on that military plane DH is like "how did they end up on that plane? You watched it last week." But they didnt show them on a plane last week, did they? I missed almost awhole season, last years i think, so i have to sort of catch up. I wouldnt mind getting all of them on DVD but do you know how long that would take to watch them?

And Sawyer, walking out holding Claire's baby, awwww! He's a bad boy with a heart, lol.
I loved what Sun did, lol. Go girl is right!
And i can't believe who Claire really is/was! what an odd twist. But then again, the whole show is sort of an odd twist isn't it? lol

I think that's the suspense that we are waiting to have resolved at the season finale. Right now there are people all over the place - on that boat, on the beach, and at the orchid that we know make it off the island and become the oceanic six and the question is - how do they all come together and what happens in the process.

I am really anxious to see what happens to Desmond because he wasn't on flight 815 so he wouldn't be included in the oceanic six even if he does make it off the island - so I'm curious to see if he's reunited with Penny or what happens to him.

That's what DH and I were discussing when it was over. How the heck did they all get on that plane heading back home? This'll be interesting. but, we have to wait 2 whole weeks!! its killing me!

rochelle789 05-16-2008 08:46 AM

We've known for a couple of years that Claire and Jack are related, but I'm glad we got to see how Jack found out.

DH thinks that Sawyer jumps off the helicopter to help save the rest of the passengers. In the preview for next time, I think they said something about there not being enough fuel to make it back to the boat. That makes sense, since we know Sawyer doesn't make it off the island. If he's not on the show next season, I'm going to be angry! Love his sarcasm (plus he's just hot)

~ashleigh 05-16-2008 09:09 AM

such a great episode! I was so frustrated when it ended, I can't wait until the finale.

Here are some of my thoughts (fwiw :) )
Next week, I am guessing we get to see how the 6 make it off, and what the fate of the rest are. Then, next season will be present day, and we will see the struggle to get back to the island. I am really hoping Sawyer doesn't die!! If he does, I really see no reason to go back to the island :p

Next season will also be more of Widmore vs Ben. And when Sun spoke to her dad, she mentioned blaming 2 people for Jin's death. I think the second person she blames is Widmore, so she will be a big player in that battle.

I just don't know what I will do without Lost! It isn't slated to return until mid-season, so it will be a LONG break :(

That's what my dh said too and he's almost ALWAYS right about this show :(

I LOOOVED the scene with Sun and her father. We were totally cheering... go on, girlfriend!

Now, the BIG QUESTION, why in the world do they have to make up a story about the crash? And they said during the news briefing that 8 made it to the island but only 6 surived, so who are they saying were the other 2? Sun specifically said that Jin never made it to the island. So... ??? IF they're making up the story in the first place, I wonder why they bothered mentioning 2 other surviors?

Also, if they are going to make it off the island at the end of this season WHAT in the world will they do all next season???? And am I right in assuming that Sun takes Aaron and jumps off the ship because it's about to blow up? And everyone else will be blown to bits?

we knew that already though. Remember the flashback when Claire's mom was in the hospital in Australia and Christian was there? The only people that didn't know Jack were half bro/sis were Claire and Jack basically

scarletsierra 05-16-2008 11:32 AM

Sigh. I both loved and didn't terribly like this episode. Not enough meat in it for me. Not enough answers.

The 2 things we know for sure after last night: a) how Jack came to know that he and Claire were half-brother and sister and b) there is a huge coverup about the whole crash and what happened to everyone and what happened on the island and everyone is in on the lies.

My big new question is why would everyone lie to this extent? Add that to all my other questions compiled over the seasons, lol.

I definitely think Sawyer ditches the helicopter so the others can survive...or something like that. Because Jack made the remark last week or the week before when he was all salty about Kate doing something for Sawyer that "he (Sawyer) chose to stay".

I still think some are alive and some will die. I'm holding out hope (though after seeing the C4 last night not so much) that Jin survives somehow and that Sun's visit to the grave, etc. is just a show in keeping with the big lie.

If that's true, then Desmond can still be alive too..there's still so much story there to be had with him and the whole Penny thing. And Michael can still be the person in the coffin.

Oh and I agree Ben completely makes this show worth sticking with for me. His character is brills.

*ramble over*

Angie4b1g 05-16-2008 02:08 PM

I was LOVING Sun's conversation with her father. Oh man he was not happy. LOL

And Jack's face when he looked at Aaron and realized it was his nephew... priceless. He's so expressive!

Desmond wasn't on the plane, so him not being one of the Oceanic 6 doesn't mean he didn't make it off. He better be on next season, I love him in a way my husband doesn't need to know about. ;)

I'm guessing some people decide to stay on the island. I'm hoping Sawyer ends up being one of those. He said something last night that eluded to that. Like "why the big rush to get off the island" or whatever. Can't remember.

This show is hella weird.

I rofl when Sawyer said "New Otherton" LOLOL

uptowngirl 05-16-2008 03:47 PM

I thought the beginning scene with the 6 comig in for a landing and being back "home" was so tuoching. Maybe I am hormonal but I was boo-hoo'ing b/c I just thought it was so touching. And everyone hugging their families, with exception of Kate, just added to it. I thought that was a wonderful scene.

I also cannot wait to see how the 6 all wind up being the 6! Right now they are all spread apart so that should be very interesting.

I feel like I could say like a thousand more things right now but my brain hurts just thinking about it. I love reading everyone's thoughts though.

see, i said i had missed almost a whole season, so I had no idea that Claire and Jack were related. There's a lot I'm behind on, lol:o

I'm confused as to why they are making up this whole story too. And Kate is pretending that she gave birth to Aaron too.

I think next season will be about them trying to get BACK to the island. If you remember how last season ended, it was Jack completely crazy and telling Kate that they had to go back! Then, this season began with Jack being addicted to drugs and obsessed trying to find the island on maps in his apartment. Also, Hurley mentioned that they had to go back and that they were never supposed to leave. So, that will probably be the premise for next season. I imagine there are also alot of survivors who remained on the island too, so we will see them as well.

ETA: I saw a clip of Josh Holloway (Sawyer) on TVGuide channel saying that we will find out during the season finale whose funeral nobody showed up to at the end of last season. Remember Jack went to that funeral home to see someone and was told he was the only one that showed up to the funeral? It was supposed to be someone from the island but we never knew who.

Angie4b1g 05-17-2008 08:27 AM

OH and I think the reason for the big elaborate lie about there being no other survivors was so that no one would go and look for them. I think some decided to (or just had to) stay and since Whitmore's men were planning on killing everyone there, they are just protecting them.

I think you're right. In true Lost fashion though, I think there might be more going on too.
