Are there any Twilight fans left?

A decade ago, obsessed did not even begin to describe it for me. To hear that Stephenie Meyer is finally releasing "Midnight Sun", the story told from Edward's point of view, is so exciting! Is there anyone else that is still a fan??

I distinctly remember Studio Flergs teasing her AMAZING Twilight inspired kits, and I couldn't wait to have them. I made countless pages back in the day from those kits

Am I alone, or is anyone else still a fan?? I had to dig out Flergs' kit "Into the Twilight" so that I could scrap a page.

lol my 12 year old daughter just read all the books &watched all the movies (funny thing is I read them when she was a baby!) She'a a big fan. Team JACOB! ;) ;)

I was a big fan until I watched the first movie. It is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but I do love the story. I don't know if I'll read the new book, but I do love the story.

I'm probably in the minority but I've never read the books or even watched a single movie.

I read all the books and watched all the movies. I was a big fan, but now, I think I moved on...

I'm a huge fan have read all the books so far and and have seen all the movies multiple times, so did hubby...
My 13 year old is reading the books now and has seen all the movies and became a fan as well!

Many many years ago I made a collection for each movie around the time the movie was releasing, but this design style i had is far from what my design style is now...

I'm a fan of the books but not really the movies. Years ago when Midnight Sun was leaked and Stephenie Meyer released the partial draft in response, I read it and thought it added a lot to the story in Twilight. I'll read it when it comes out.

During quarantine I recently re-read all of the books, and it made me remember how much I loved the stories. It'll be a little harder to devote time for the new book now that work has gotten back to normal, but I'll fit it in somewhere!

I just started rewatching the movies a few nights ago...I read all the books while I was on deployment in 2008-2009 so I will totally get this and read it!

Neverland Scraps 07-26-2020 08:21 PM

I never really could get in to it. My neighbor had movie nights once a week and we would watch them. I never bothered reading the books, but only went to our neighbor's movie night to socialize.

had no idea there was another book coming out. I thought that series was done. Maybe I'll try to get my hands on the books and give it a try....maybe

The books are definitely better than the movies, I know some people hated the movies but I really enjoyed them ... Robert Pattinson ... YKWIM??

I've waited YEARS for Midnight Sun. My 14 year old daughter is as obsessed as I am ♥♥♥

StacyLynn 07-26-2020 11:27 PM

I like the books and the movies!!

When my oldest was in 7th grade she asked to read them... all I could think was, "grown ups are reading these, I better read them first to make sure they are okay!" LOL

Kjersti 07-27-2020 12:52 AM

My girls just watched the movies this week and LOVED them!!!

biancka 07-27-2020 04:10 AM

I prefer the books over the movies for sure but I haven't read the books in ages and don't think I'll read them again. I would love to read the new book though :)

I didn't even know! I'm so excited now to read it. I just reserved it at our digi library and will buy it for Bailey for her birthday. We were both big fans of the books/movies. With her short term memory deficit it will be difficult for her to retain the story as she reads it but if I read it too we can discuss it together and I can prompt her memory. I'm so excited now :)

I'm very excited to finally get that novel, I was thinking she might do it for the 10th anniversary but she gave us Life and Death instead.

I was so happy to have an occasion to pull out your Twilight kits. I can't begin to tell you how many pages I made with them when you first released those kits  I remember stalking your store very impatiently for them to show up LOL

That's what was nice about them, they were very much geared towards a younger audience with no language or overtly sexual scenes.

I am the same as Kellie. I loved the books, read them on repeat, then I watched the movies and it was like the whole thing was ruined. I didn't even watch the last couple of movies until years later and gave my nieces my copies of the books. I doubt I'll even read this new one. I was Team Jacob though. ;)

jen104 07-29-2020 11:57 AM

I think maybe the reason the movies worked for me was because I didn't read the books until after the first movie came out. I'd never heard of the books, so I think that helped - sometimes it's hard when you've read the books prior to a movie or series coming out because you already have an image in your head of what the characters look like.

Oh.my.goodness! Right?! It was TERRIBLE! I really enjoyed the books, but the movies left a lot to be desired. LOL! :D

craftytam 07-30-2020 03:25 PM

I think I got rid of my copies of the books when we moved to ID. I've seen them at Goodwill, so I might pick them up to read again before I read Midnight Sun.

cherrygutz 07-30-2020 03:36 PM

A friend of mine and I read the whole series alternately, and that's what we talk all the time because she was VERY obsessed with it. And then the first movie came out and let me tell you, she watched it (in theater) 7 times! Seven! I watched with her once, and two of those times, she watched alone! I swore never to say anything negative about the movie because I just love my friend so much, but I know that our other friends knew that I have learned the truth about the difference between the books and the movies :D She still sends me messages whenever there is news about SM or about Twilight in general :)

amy_hart 08-01-2020 06:29 PM

meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I have the book on Pre-Order - I seriously fangirled like a teenager when I heard.

My daughter & I went to see a re-release of the movies when the last one came out. It was fun because everyone was laughing at the really stupid parts of the movies! :D
