We've lived here for 10 years now and I lived here for 5 years before going college. We live in the Westchase area (just west and little north of the airport right on top of the bay). My husband commutes to Largo and my office is in Spring Hill. I used to work in the Westshore area so I know a lot about commuting in different directions. I have a sister and BFF that live in S. Tampa and my parents live in Wesley Chapel/New Tampa. LOL! You are right - there is a lot to learn!!! There are so many nice areas in Tampa it will really depend upon your budget and where you need to drive to everyday. Schools might be another concern.
