I have an antique bed made in the 40's. It's in a beautiful art deco style - has 2 matching dressers. Only problem - the mattresses these days aren't built for antique beds. We have a box spring and our pillow top and we are well over the top edge of the footboard. So you don't get to see any of the headboard.
Kind of stinks but we aren't going to get a new bed anytime soon!
