For me it was finding that YUMMY thing that I wanted to eat, that I could eat, and still lose weight. Something to look forward to that is tasty and enjoyable. I believe wholeheartedly that true diet change can't happen with deprivation, it has to be sustainable for life.
For me, when I was losing weight, it was my morning 2% Fage Greek yogurt with cherry. It was sweet and creamy and since I was eating healthy it WAS a treat. Also my morning cup of coffee, mmmm. Then in the afternoon I looked forward to rich & yummy avocado diced up up with lime juice and salt on top. In the evening I saved the best for last, a chocolate covered frozen banana for dessert. I knew I had those things to look forward to daily and that helped me stay on track.
