Frixion pens are the only ones I use in my planner. Until now I've only had black, but my planner splurge this year was a metal Frixion pen that holds 3 colors. I'm waiting on light blue and dark pink ink (from Jet Pens) to use with the black.
For anyone who tries Frixion pens, just know that they're heat sensitive because of how they erase. If you leave your planner in a hot car, the ink can "disappear." If it ever happens, it should reappear if you put the planner in the freezer.
