I don't use an app but I am a sucker for little checkbox trackers in my planner. I've done weekly and monthly tracking, depending on what I'm tracking. I also print full-page printables for things like book tracking or progress in monthly challenges.
Seeing my water consumption habits in those cute little stickers is the only way I built a good habit of staying hydrated. Both the seeing and the act of writing seems to hold me accountable.
