The concept of A Week in the Life and a Day in the Life have always really appealed to my favorite way of documenting snippets of the Right Now...a kind of time capsule project, as you said. It encourages me to make the stories *smaller*, if that makes sense. More looking closer, more details. I think there is so much story there. And it's my most favorite.
I find myself feeling so much busier these days with less bandwidth for this kind of project, but I always give it a go anyway. I start by focusing on the photos and revisiting them throughout and at the end of the day...adding captions (in my notes on my phone, usually). So that when I can actually scrap them, I have all the key points. I often try or include ephemera from whatever is happening - weather, news, prices, current favorites, activities, music, lots of quotes. I do find that pocket scrapping seems to fit best for me with this...or like a traveler's notebook or mini album. And I think I'm going to go with mini album this time.
