SugarBabe Sketch Spectacular - Dec 10th

Sweet Shoppe SugarBabe
Happy Christmahannukwanzika, my sweet scrappy friends! (Sometimes I think it's safer this time of year to just say "Merry Everything!")

It’s Angie, and I’m delighted to be your host for today’s installment of December’s SugarBabe Sketch Spectacular. I absolutely love using sketches as a starting point for my layouts! Today, I found my inspiration in the gift tags that are scattered around my house right now, and this is what I sketched up for you:

It's a very simple page layout that gives you a basic structure. I think what I like best about these kind of sketches is that you can hang as many embellishments on them or go as clean-and-simple as you like.

Here is the layout I created based on this sketch - as you can see, I added a couple large, sweeping element clusters to accent the photograph:

And just wait till you see what some of the Babes did with this sketch!

First up we have Krista L., who not only changed the shape of the photo mask from rectangular to square but also used a trio of small framed photographs in place of the gift tags:

And then we have this fun, colorful layout from Rebecca who cleverly replaced the trio of tags with journaling cards and word art:

Such a lovely and versatile sketch by Angie here! That big photo placement is an eye-catcher!
I can't wait to create a layout based on this.

WOW - you're all such fast scrapbookers! I absolutely adore the different ways you've interpreted my sketch thus far ... especially the way you're using or replacing that pocket with the trio of tags in the lower right corner.

Keep those layouts a'coming - I can't wait to see what y'all come up with next!

Thank you so much for the pretty sketch, my take. Merry Christmas and wonderful new year!
