Happy New Year Sweet Shoppers!

I can’t believe another year of challenges is officially in the books. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had such a blast revisiting some of our favorite challenge formats from the past 20 years during our monthly Countdown to 20 challenges! Seeing how much creativity they’ve sparked has been truly amazing.

As we kick off the new year, we’re also busy behind the scenes putting the finishing touches on a brand new challenge system that will debut in February as part of our 20th Birthday Celebration. Because of that, we thought it would be fun to let January be a little more relaxed and turn it into a feel good look back at just how incredible our community has been.

And wow, what a year it was. More than 3,000 layouts were shared in our Countdown to 20 gallery, and each one is a reflection of the talent, heart, and creativity that make this place so special. For this month’s challenges, we’re inviting you to dive back in, pick some favorite pages from the past year, and give a shoutout to the scrapper who created them, then scraplift or spin-a-lift their work.

It’s all about spreading a little love, celebrating one another, and starting the year on a happy note.

The doodles on this page from ClaireG caught my eye immediately! They bring such a fun vibe to the page. I love how it provides visual interest without cluttering the page.



I chose this fun layout by raquels. I absolutely adore the playfulness of it. The scattered elements are such a fun touch.



This layout from Amy (amyjcaz) caught my eye with it's flow down the page. I love the simple background which seems to put the focus on her sweet pictures.



This page jumped out at me from the gallery because of tillykaye's great use of white space and all the fun artsy elements. I loved the page design overall and knew I wanted to replicate another 'Everyday moment' like the original.



This layout from Erin3 stopped me in my tracks! The collage layout... the artistic journaling style... I knew in an instant that I needed to lift it! I really love how the blocking of the different patterned papers draws your eye around the layout, leading you on a journey to catch the placement of the journaling cards, elements, and photo.



I love the paper works on this page 'Autumn Love by Vrielinkie'. The way she layered different solid papers and that stamps paper are beautiful and compliments the photos so beautifully. The minimal embellishment is just perfect and inspires me to scraplift it in my own style.



This layout by Valleygirl called my artsy soul out. I love the combination of paints and mixed media with the blended photo and all the word arts along with bits and pieces elements that tied together in this layout.



This layout from immaculeah caught my eye with its vertical design and the clusters and foliage that go around one side of it. It was a great one to choose to scraplift. I flipped mine.



There is so much about this layout from Lea that caught my eye! The wispy cluster around her photo is gorgeous! The ribbon border draws the eye in. I just love it!



I love this layout by Thuria! The placement of the word strips really caught my eye. I love all the paint and the newspaper background paper - and the string tying everything together. I thought it would be fun to continue the nature theme, but with a wintery twist!



This page by bcnatty really stood out to me with a great mix of papers, elements, journaling, and photos. I'm also really attracted to the grungy feel.



I love this layout by CrazyCat1126! The beautiful lush flowers cascading down her page really caught my eye! I also love the beautiful stacked printed papers!

I really loved the background being divided into these triangles so it guides the eye to the center, where the photo is. Also just capturing a small but sweet moment or story. And then just a few sentences and a title. Keeping it simple.

I love how there are these paper strips on the side and then all the clusters in the middle. I decided to replicate this but then put the clusters on the side strips and the photos in the middle. I also love the colors: the blues and the teals, the reds and purples.

I lifted the repeated shapes (hearts) in my background, I was also inspired by the horizontal stripes and replicated that in my layout with a mat. And the subject of the photo is a boy, which I also used.

I really liked the two photos in the middle and the flowers and ellies scattered behind. That's what I lifted, together with the stacked papers with a border on the side and including a patterned paper. And I also used products by Studio Liv, since they're always so playful.

I loved the big photo on one side and then filling the other side with scattering ellies and layers of papers from the top to the bottom and even more photos. Highlighting more details or other views. I replicated this with photos of my brother's dog.

I really loved the shapes and how they are grouped on the background with small clusters. So I lifted those but changed it to hexagons, I also mimicked the background and I scrapped a family portrait too.

I really loved this layout by Olivia, I repeated the horizontal lines in the background but I did it with wire. Then I copied the circle shapes but added extra layers (doily pieces) and I also echoed the placement of the photo and clusters. And Olivia's page tells a story with the picture and journaling and so does mine. It's all about writing stories.

I loved how all the elements are on one side of the page and layered on top and between these papers. So I also used 1 photo and tucked it between and then used some ellies scattered around it. Nice retro kit, colors and title to complement the photo and ta-daaa! Loved this layout and lifting it.

The color palette and the circles with the different paper layers below it really spoke to me. It just jumps out, repeated shapes are always such a strong look. So I copied those and also the little clusters and selective wordstrips. I love this layout!

I love this filled layout with a nice patterned background and lots of big photos. I loved the posed photos with the polar bear, which made me think of a day at the zoo. My boyfriend posed with a polar bear statue too. So I used a template from the same set with big shaped photos and a lifted the winter theme.

I really love the vertical strip going down the page and having everything placed on it. I lifted the woodgrain paper and that strip and mimicked the placements of all the ellies. I loved the letters/title going down so I also did that but layering the metal squares over the alpha. I also liked the photo over the extra frame. Such an awesome layout by Sheri.

The first I've chosen is this layout by porkchopsmom. I love to see tags used as a main design element on scrapbook pages and was really drawn to this one. I love the fun colours and use of themed product and of course the punny title!

2. Love the dark background and wonderful pops of color along with the bold title from cinderella's I scrapbook therefore I am layout. The themed elements give a glimpse into her interests.



3. Electra's Nope is a wonderful way to celebrate someone's thoughts and feelings. The talk bubbles surrounding the picture are so fun, and love how she framed the page.



4. I flipped Through the Woods by norton94 has such wonderfully muted fall colors, and I love the shape of the mat under her photos.


5. I lifted U Did It! by fruitysuet. The large star is so eye-catching, and the pattern on the background is so fun.


6. I lifted 3BluEyedBabi's Okapi layout. I love the way she split the background and her fun use of the banners.

14. tillykay's April 3rd is Rainbow Day is a brilliant use of patterned papers. I love how they all point to her wonderful photo.
