I still design almost exclusively in PSE
I do have illustrator tho and use that to draw. Everything else tho, is done in PSE. I agree with Bree, really learn your program and focus on developing a distinct style. Design what you would scrap with. Look through the galleries and really watch trends to discover what scrappers are ACTUALLY using in their layouts. I wish I had some links to refer you to but I honestly dont know of any because most of us are self taught through trial and error and networking with friends who are designers too.
