OMG! You girls make me feel so old! What you call "classic" rock is just the rock I grew up listening to. I remember laying awake in 5th grade listening to Eric Clapton's I Shot the Sheriff, Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon & The Moody Blues' Nights in White Satin (1975 RULZ!!!!)
The Doors are OK. My favorites are Roadhouse Blues & Riders on the Storm. I'm a much bigger Floyd fan. My bff had an older brother who was sooooo into Floyd...that was my introduction to them. Dark Side of the Moon, baby! She and I would walk around singing Money & Eclipse all the time (another good 1975 memory - I should scrap that!
) Then, when I was in college, I would play Floyd while studying - great background music and not much temptation to sing along
