Alex loved the Astrosaurs series by Steve Cole for bedtime reading - think Star Trek with dinosaurs! After that we moved onto the Dinosaur Cove series (by Rex Stone), and now we're into the secret agent life of Jack Stalwart (by Elizabeth Singer Hunt) - which, I have been told, is very cool and exciting (
). I'd recommend any of these series for young, under 10-ish boys - they are also fun to read from the parents point of view too (which helps!).
My son also loves listening to Roald Dahl - any of his stories, but particularly 'The Fantastic Mr Fox'. He really loves audiobooks and it doesn't matter if we have already ready the books. I usually download from Audible for both Alex and I. ...I highly recommend audiobooks on ipods for long journeys!
