I thought it was an awesome episode! I loved how it began..b/c we've been asking for 4 years "who's jacob" and there he was! But who is he REALLY, and who is the "man" who wanted him dead.
I think it's pretty much been established in the hard-core LOST forums that the statue is supposed to be that of Anubis.
I feel like it probably was really Jacob we kept seeing in the past...there's some big thing going on here and I think he must have kind of rbeen moving the Losties toward their "destinies" ...did you notice that in every flashback they made a point of showing Jacob touch them in some way..or most of them I think.
I think it's SO cool that Locke isn't really Locke. I loved all the little flashbacks to events that we'd heard about but never seen.
We found out that Richard doesn't age b/c Jacob made him that way...so now my question is Richard one of the people on the Black Rock or was he on the island before the ship came? I hope so b/c I've always liked the theory that Richard has "always been there"
The scene with Juliet falling...oh man I was bawling. (FYI Elizabeth Mitchell has signed onto a pilot for another series so we may not be seeing Juliet again

)
I hate Kate.
I think it was a great setup for the last season...b/c we don't know what to expect and that's just what makes LOST the best show on TV
