because he can't use sulfa meds -- and apparently the ear drops have some component or something? and there was a possibility of a reaction. I dunno it was weird. they're calling his dr in the am to see what he says so till then we're in limbo. thx girlies.. I'll give him the motrin-- fyi, the cough meds are doing nothing. he's hacking up a storm and can't stop. it's going to be another long night
