Hummus - we use Peanut butter instead of tahini because I forget to buy it or the seeds to grind myself. It's used as a veggie dip or
whole wheat cracker
This is a great way for me to get bean proteins into the kids w/o having to serve 'beans'
• Fruit smoothies - easy all year 'round with the bags of frozen fruit at the store. We also do a version with bananas, peanut butter & carob powder if I have it, ovaltine if I don't.
• Banana splits - in our house this means bananas split lengthwise, smeared with peanut butter and sprinkled with a few chocolate chips.
