I'm so sorry, Emily, this is really difficult news.

My dh and I lost a baby at the end of the first trimester between our first and second sons. Genetic testing showed that the baby had a massive birth defect. It was so hard. We went through chromosomal testing and it was determined that it was just a fluke - neither of us were carriers for the birth defect the baby carried. And of course we went on to have other kids. That baby still holds a place in my heart, but time has definitely helped. I don't really compare what I went through to what you are going through - I didn't find out ahead of time and have the worry and pain you are experiencing right now. But, I thought I'd share as I know sometimes it's just nice to know others have been though something similar.
