yeah you're right. unless some kind of time travel or body snatching thing is going on, it wouldn't work lol! cuz she'd have to be REALLY old to be his mother if MIB is the same smoke monster that appears in the egyptian-like hieroglyphcs on the temples, etc. although . .. if you think about it, he doesn't exactly look ancient when we see him in the 1860's. and jacob never aged . .. but i think it's too late for something like that to be going on with Eloise's character. not enough episodes left to explain it!
I find that temporal policeman comment REALLY intriguing! only raises more questions than it answers but that's to be expected with Lost lol!
