That last scene with Desmond creeped me out. I know he's "seen the light" or something but he seemed rather zombie like. It's one thing for him to be agreeable with Widmore but going along with what Sayid said so quickly kind of worries me.

Maybe Desmond finally gained confidence about Penny. He has no more fear about lose her b/c he now knows no matter the reality she will ALWAYS be there as she is his constant. He can do what Widmore says or Sayid says... any sacrifice b/c no matter what Penny will always be there.
Who knew LOST could be romantic that way? Or this is just me being romantic, I don't know... LOL
