My hair is in a layered bob above my shoulders and I love it so much more than when I had long hair. But if you haven't had short hair before, you should know that shorter hair doesn't necessarily mean easier. I still spend about the same time drying and straightening my hair as I did when it was long. Plus, mine isn't long enough to put in a ponytail anymore so I have to actually do something with it everyday unlike when it was longer and I could put it back when it was still wet if I was in a hurry. I also have to get haircuts more often. When it was long, I'd go about 8 weeks, now by about 4 I'm thinking it already looks shaggy so I'm usually at more like 5-6 weeks.
None of that is to discourage you - I personally think it's totally worth it. But I just wanted to put it out there since it may or may not be what you're looking for with a baby on the way. So if you haven't had short hair before, I'd probably do something shoulder length first (the length in the picture would be good) and see whether you like it or not. I think short hair would be really cute though!
