Sara, I can't speak for the quality myself, but from Janet's blog (and another she linked to in her post) the quality is really excellent. No dust spots, 300dpi, etc.
I'm going to convince my mom tonight. Then I'll order the box, and bring it home with my pictures to NY, and go through boxes wtih my mom next weekend. Ideally we would have them back by the time we get back from vacation on 2/3!
