Lunch is at noon. Dinner is in the evening.
Supper is what you and your DH go out for, if you are dining after 7pm. Before 7pm you are eating dinner.
Though when I was growing up (north of where I live now) we had supper in the evening, lunch at noon.
But we also called soda 'pop'
