I love my Kindle for the reasons that Beckie mentioned above. The Nook color sounds pretty cool, but it didn't appeal to me since I've got an ipod touch and an Android phone that I use for games, email, etc. I was just looking at it for a reading device. I honestly went with the Kindle because that's what my sister had and we are able to share books. You might also check with friends to see what they have - if you've got more friends with one or the other, you might go that route just for the book lending feature.
