Thankfully, I had placed newspaper on the rack...and the only thing damaged was the plastic cover on our cheap wedding album..it melted onto the album, but no photos were damaged, and the heritage album that was under it was undamaged (but smells strangely like homemade chicken nuggets I made before the storms the other night
)
When we have short notice, like we did, a few special albums get thrown in there and then a chunk in the dishwasher to help protect them. I did a stovetop meal last night and at lunch today, so I hadn't thought about them til I started preheating for dinner tonight.
Big oops. Thankfully they're all okay.
