Especially with the detail in this template I would recommend clipping the papers as you would with a normal layout and then printing out the final product and adhering it to the card front. You can always take out a flower element or a ribbon and use the real thing in it's place after to attach to the card.

Here's a card I made with Julie's new kit - it's all flat, one pice of paper and I was lazy and didn't add anything 3 dimensional.
