I cook meat all the time and never touch it raw!!
You can also cook food in the microwave. I have an AWESOME baby food making book that says why it's just fine to cook in the microwave. And then we always just fill ice cube trays and once it's frozen, stick it in a gallon sized bag (labeled and dated) and make something else so we always have a nice stash in the freezer. You can also combine a lot of things (once baby is used to one at a time). It's cool, and fun.
