I disagree truthfully. I don't see it any differently than digital copyright or book copyright.

The paper scrap products that were bought are consumables. Meant for a single use...if someone scanned it and used it, more than once, digitally or printed and used it that way then they are losing money. You might could get away with it if you scanned it, detroyed the paper version and ONLY used each item once, EVER...but what would be the point of that really? All that work for a one time use just isn't worth it.

Digital scrapbooking has already hit the paper industry pretty hard. Not just the big manufacturers but also the small, local scrapbook stores. To me the LSS's are the equivalent to individual digital designers.

But yeah, that's just my two cents worth.
