What camera do you use?
You can change it to the incandescent WB setting on most (looks like a lightbulb), but even better is to set a custom white balance using a gray card or white wall or something.

Upper end cameras with LiveView you can also set a Kelvin number White balance using that. Or just dial a number and see.

Auto insides stinks! so some way do a Custom white balance!!

For flash photography you expose for the background you want and then use the flash to "fill" in the subject. This works well with the lightscoop because it is hard to get strong flash on your subject bouncing it up, so you have to expose with your camera more.
