Christmas Eve as a kid we always got to open a book and a pair of pjs. My former sil is French Canadian so it was their big night as opposed to Christmas Day. Excitement for Christmas, putting toys together, staying up late.
Boxing Day-UK and Canada celebrate it more I believe. After Christmas sales, leftovers, family, lazy day,
