What I'm looking for is always different. Sometimes I'm trying to fill in a certain spot on my team due to a recent vacancy. So, someone might have a lot of talent, but their style is not what I am needing right now. But there are a few things I consistently look for:
- What are the shadows like (too light/too dark, too close,/too far)?
- Does the person have a balance in their composition? Are there too many patterns? Or too few?
- What are their pictures like?
- Are they journaling? (I'm all for journaling!)
- Does their gallery entice me to click around and look at things, just looking at the thumbnails?
It's hard to put it all into words, because we're basically going to know what we want when we see it... and it's a different thing for every one of us. LOL!
But I don't think that you should change what YOU love doing do please anyone! My best team members are those who are here to scrap for themselves, first and foremost. I just get the benefits of showing off their amazing work.
