I'm convincing hubby to get out with me but he hurt this foot this summer.. In another town closer to me they have group hikes so i'm trying to get up the courage to join something like that. I'm too scared to go by myself (and it's not the smartest thing to do anyways)

I am planning on doing a new hiking kit (because above) but wasn't sure what time of the year would be best for something like that
I have done a few hiking trips alone - but on well traveled paths that are busy - and it still freaked me out!
I've done some pretty adventurous ones - a couple weekends ago we hiked a canyon with a waterfall that was super gorgeous and we went to a place called the "alps of oregon' which was amazing. This weekend we are taking on a HIKE ... like an all uphill and fairly steep hike! He's hiked to the top of Mt. Rainier and I would really love to do that with him someday!
