I always unzip everything in to their "right" folders - all elements (journal cards, painty bits, wordy bits, etc) all go in the same "elements" folder. All different types of papers will go in to their own "paper" folder. If there are a couple of different alpha styles, I will separate them by style/color in to their own folder as the alpha always has their own folder to begin.
Why do I do this? It's so I see EVERYTHING in one place. When I open all of the elements, I go through and open what I think I want to use on my layout or what elements I like or want to try with my layout. Sometimes I open 25 elements at a time, sometimes I open 2/3 of the folder to use on my layout. If I have to go through each of the unzipped folders, it's more time consuming and cuts in to my thought process of what I want on the layout and I don't feel like my layout is cohesive as it cut in to the creativity process going through each of the folders.
