We moved alot when I was a kid- mostly wherever my dad could get work- he was in the operating engineers union & would go where the money was good to run/work on big equipment. We even spent about 9 months in Hawaii (which sounds wonderful, except we HATED it!!) I've heard Hawaii as "Divorce Island" because people go there and get stuck, unable to get back home to visit family/friends. Sorry you all didn't like it there
