In addition to the paper planner that I use for myself, we have a wall calendar for the kids. It has their activities, project due dates (for any long term projects they've brought me into the loop on), and anything of mine or DH's that directly affects them. All of it is in my planner, too, but this way the kids (and maybe DH) know what's coming up. I also have a cheap Target Dollar Spot calendar hanging on the fridge that I use for meal planning.
