For our iPad and our daughter's iPod Touch, I have the web limited to only "approved" web sites -- which meant I had to go in and manually type in each web site that I wanted to allow her access to. If she wants to view another one that is not on the list, she can "request access" through a pop-up menu and then I get a notification on my phone. I can grant/reject access from my iphone.
