My grands parents's name was Papy and Mamy in french with their first name following and my kids called them (for my mom's parents) Grand Papy and Grand Mamy. We only have Grand Mamy now.
They call my parents Papy and Mamy too or in Basque Amatxi and Aitatxi (Prononce Txi=tchi).
