I had my tubes tied when I was very young. I had three kids at that point and knew I did not want any more. I am glad I had it done. I dont have to worry about getting pregnant or taking a pill or whether we had protection. That being said it is much easier for the man to have a vasectomy (less invasive & shorter recovery) and it is supposedly easier to reverse if you ever did want another child. I had mine done when I was having my son. I had a c-section so it was easy to go in and snip it and I was done (well probably more then a snip LOL). Only thing is I have way heavier periods now and alot more painful periods which my dr insists is not due to the tubal but I have heard the same story from soooo many woman!!
The one positive thing is it really does increse your sex drive not having to think about any BC.
